Zehntausende Menschen schleudern fr\u00f6hlich jedes Jahr am letzten Mittwoch im August reife Tomaten aneinander, und verwandeln das Dof in ein feuerrotes Meer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mysteri\u00f6se Urspr\u00fcnge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Die erste Tomatina fand im Jahr 1945 statt, doch wird die wahre Geschichte ihres Ursprungs immer noch diskutiert. Manche sagen sie begann zwischen einer herum albernden Freundesgruppe, andere behaupten sie entstand aus einer anti-Franco Kundgebung. Die am weitesten verbreitete Theorie ist, dass streitende Jugendliche auf einer Umzug einen nahe gelegenen Gem\u00fcsestand pl\u00fcnderten und begannen die Tomaten warfen bis da\u03b2 die Polizei kam und dem Ganzen ein Ende setzte.<\/p>\n<p>Die Geschichte besagt, dass die gleichen Kinder am selben letzten Mittwoch im August im Folgejahr wieder zur\u00fcckkamen und mit ihren eigenen Tomaten k\u00e4mpften. Diesmal, machten auch andere mit. Wieder kam die Polizei um den Kampf zu stoppen, doch sie kamen zu sp\u00e4t. Das Tomatenwerfen an sich dauert nur ca. Zwei Stunden, doch der Tag ist mit Spa\u03b2 ausgef\u00fcllt. Alles beginnt morgens, wenn sich der Dorfplatz mit Leuten f\u00fcllt \u2013 mit vielen Leuten. Bunyol ist ein kleiner Ort mit 9000 Einwohnern, der aber zur Tomatina bis zu 40.000 anschwillt.<\/p>\n<p>Am Tag vor der Schlacht wird ein Stab errichtet welcher mit Seife bedeckt wird. Ein Bein eines iberischen Schweins wird als Flagge aufgehi\u03b2t und der Erste der die Spitze kletternd erreicht, gewinnt den schmackhaften Preis. Dann, um 11 Uhr wird ein Schuss abgefeuert und eine LKW-Ladung von \u201eMunition\u201c kommt zum Vorschein. Die ersten Tomaten werden von den LKW-Fahrern geworfen, doch die Menschenmenge r\u00fcckt schon nach vorne sobald das Gef\u00e4hrt anh\u00e4lt. Innerhalb einiger Sekunden ist alles rot. Ein LKW nach dem anderen r\u00fcckt an, welche mehr als 40 Tonnen \u00fcberreifer Tomaten abladen. Aber sorgen Sie sich nicht um die Umwelt, es sind alles minderwertige Tomaten, die nicht als Lebensmittel benutzt werden k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n<p>Wenn alle Tomaten geworfen sind, wird ein weiterer Schuss abgefeuert, welcher das Ende der Schlacht signalisiert. Jetzt kommen die Feuerwehrautos zum Vorschein, welche die Strassen und Hausfassaden abspritzen, und andere Freiwillige mit ihren Schl\u00e4uchen, die helfen die Teilnehmer abzuspritzen. Sonderbarerweise ist das Dorf nach der Tomatina wieder ganz sauber, was man auch der S\u00e4ure der Tomaten verdankt.
