Jahrestag von Magellan und Elcano"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Im Jahr 2019 begehen wir den f\u00fcnfhundertsten Jahrestag eines Ereignisses, das unsere Weltsicht f\u00fcr immer ge\u00e4ndert hat: die erste Reise, mit einer Weltumsegelung, wodurch bewiesen wurde, dass die Erde eine Kugel ist. Diese Expedition startete im Jahre 1519 in Sevilla, und die Stadt schn\u00fcrt ein volles Programmpaket an Veranstaltungen im Gedenken daran.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Die Reise, die die Welt ver\u00e4nderte<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Am 10. August 1519 schickte Karl I., K\u00f6nig von Spanien den Seefahrer Ferdinand Magellan zusammen mit Juan Sebasti\u00e1n de Elcano auf eine Expedition zu den Molukken-Inseln (die zu Indonesien geh\u00f6ren), die damals als <strong>\u2018Gew\u00fcrzinseln\u2019 bekannt waren<\/strong>. 239 M\u00e4nner und f\u00fcnf Schiffe fuhren los. Um die portugiesische Flotte zu vermeiden, fuhr Magellan von <a href=\"\/?page_id=9390\"><strong>Sevilla<\/strong><\/a> aus und segelte nach S\u00fcdwesten. Am 6. September 1522 kamen Elcano und die restliche Mannschaft von Magellans Expedition nach Spanien zur\u00fcck, gerade mal 18 M\u00e4nner und ein Schiff, nachdem sie als erste die gesamte Welt umsegelt hatten, fast genau drei Jahre nach ihrer Abreise.<\/p>\n<p>Die Reise war nat\u00fcrlich alles andere als einfach! Die Mannschaft verbrachten einen harten Winter in einem Gebiet, das heute zum S\u00fcden Argentiniens geh\u00f6rt, es gab zahlreiche Todesf\u00e4lle und Deserteure, und sogar eine Meuterei, die niedergeschlagen werden konnte. Die Expedition von Magellan und Elcano hat die Welt ge\u00e4ndert und unsere Kenntnisse von ihr, indem sie nachwiesen, dass die Erde in der Tat rund ist, und eine Passage gefunden haben, die den atlantischen und pazifischen Ozean verbindet (heute als Magellan Stra\u00dfe bekannt). Jahrestag dieser Reise um die Welt wird mit einem beeindruckenden Programm an Aktivit\u00e4ten gefeiert, dass sich \u00fcber drei Jahre erstreckt, wie auch die Reise von Magellan und Elcano 3 Jahre dauerte (1519 bis 1522). Das Ziel des Programms ist es, die Geschichte dieser Expedition in Spanien und der Welt zu erz\u00e4hlen, auf die Bedeutung der Reise hinzuweisen, sowie die der Entdecker, die hinter diesem gro\u00dfen Erfolg stehen. Besonders wichtige Veranstaltungen im Rahmen des Programms werden in den H\u00e4fen stattfinden, von denen die Reise ausging (Sevilla und Sanl\u00facar de Barrameda), sowie auch an dem Ort, an dem die Reise endete, in Teneriffa, und in <a href=\"\/?p=23028\"><strong>Valladolid<\/strong><\/a>, wo K\u00f6nig Karl I. Magellan seine Zustimmung f\u00fcr die Expedition erteilte.<\/p>\n<p>Es gibt zahlreiche verschiedene Veranstaltungen, angefangen bei <strong>Konferenzen<\/strong> \u00fcber Geschichte und Biodiversit\u00e4t, \u00fcber einen Schiffbau zum Mitmachen in Sevilla.
